Joy Lauren - "P.S. I Love You" World Premiere 12/09/2007
You can see Joy Lauren on the comedy series of Desperate Housewives on ABC.
Joy wears her long brown hair in an off centered irregular part with angles on the sides that border around her smiling face. Wearing
long hair can be fun, when you have the time to give it the attention it needs, such as; blow drying it patiently with the large
vented round brush as was done for Joy. You may have to use a heavy moisturizing gel to accomplish the thick look that is pictured
in the photo. Everyone uses top line hair products especially for their own texture and celebrities are no exception. Their stylist
will make their hair go in the way they want it to go; one way or another and with the use of good hair products this can be achieved.
Miracles happen when smoothing serum is applied. All of a sudden the hair becomes tame and will lay in thick sections for you,
revealing more of an artful form. With the application of the thermo setting lotion before the flat iron is applied, you will
have the bone straight appearance you have been striving for. The cuticles of your hair will all be lying straight, and all going
into one direction.
Joy's hair was blown dry with the keeping of a little bit of volume in mind. Smoothing serum may have been enough to tame her hair,
without the flat iron. If you are confused with your own hair, experiment with your products and take notes about which ones do best
with your hair. Practice getting to know the feel and understand the texture of your hair.
Maggie Grace - "Charlie Wilson's War" World Premiere 12/10/2007
We are familiar with Maggie Grace watching her on the TV series of Lost.
Maggie looks absolutely stunning in her black beret. Notice the jewelry that is fastened on the one side to hold the hat in place; and
is just enough to give a glamorous image to her black and white outfit. Her hair has been styled in smooth lines with a side part
that goes over and tucks behind her ear with the majority of hair on her side. The rest of her hair has been pulled back on the other
side and then brought around with curls on the ends.
If you are considering this type of style for yourself, begin with washing and conditioning your long hair. Apply your styling gel and
use your round jumbo brush. Section the back into three areas of the top, middle and bottom, securing with a clasp. Begin on the nape of
your hair and roll the brush under while pulling out to the ends. Repeat this procedure all around your head. Comb in your part and
lightly spray your thermo guard on the ends. Section off once again and begin to curl your ends with your spiral or round iron
depending upon the look you desire. If you would like your curl to be more closed as in the picture, then you use your curling iron.
For the coiled effect, use your spiral iron, dividing into small parts as you go. Some prefer to use a curling brush. Do not comb out
your curls once you set them and be sure and put that beret on, you too could look as smashing as Maggie does.
