Maura Tierney - "Semi-Pro" Los Angeles Premier 2/19/2008
You have probably seen Maura Tierney's smiling face on ER as Abigail "Abby" Lockhart.
Maura's warm brown hair is obtained through reddish cinnamon and golden slices of strands woven throughout her hair. The gold has been
carefully positioned to be a frame around her face, while the back is predominately the darker red color. Most likely her hair has been
designed into long layers and we can see the simplicity of bringing the hair back into the center of the head with notable wisps gaily
about the chignon. A determined pouf in the crown has been accomplished by pre-back brushing before placing the hair into the band in
the back. A smooth touch was given and a gentle lift with a rattail comb, lift comb or hairpin to be set into place. The bangs were
also smoothed and placed close to the forehead over into the side of the face. There are many ways the knot in the back could have
been formed and one such way could have been placing the hair into the band while having the hair doubled or even tripled, depending
upon how much length you would have to work with. When doubled over, you can take the loop and split it in half, then twist each end
once and fasten to the hair with your hairpins. The end that is sticking out can be twisted or braided and wrapped around the knot,
just leave a few small strands out for this easy appearance. The top can be smoothed with a large round iron and moved over to the
side. Spray your gloss and hairspray and you are so-o finished! Don't forget your earrings.
Gillian Anderson - 2008 Wonder Con Day Two 02/23/2008
We know Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully in The X-Files. She won several awards making this film and the second X-File movie will be
out in July of 2008.
Meanwhile, look at the gold color in Gillian's hair! Looks attractive with the sage green sweater she is wearing. It must be the
lighting, because in one clip we have the high amount of gold and in the other photo we see the more modest approach to strawberry
beige. Her hair is designed with a centered part and smooth textured angles framing along her face. No doubt her hair has had generous
portions of gel applied before smoothly blown dry with a large round brush giving just enough tilt to bring her hair under. Gillian has
the kind of face that could wear her hair anyway. I can easily picture her hair away from her face in a gentle green and white polka dot
bow upon the nape of her neck. How feminine that would look on her! Can you not see this girl under the shade of a willow tree, by a
spring fed lake, with her most amorous beaux doting upon her every move? As she flutters her eyelashes at him, he takes out the wine
and she prepares the bread and cheese. The birds are singing and the bees are buzzing and everything seems so perfect. Then, the ants
come marching in to feast upon such a delectable repast.
