Amanda Tapping - Sci-Fi Channel 2008 Upfront Party 03/18/2008
Most people connect with Amanda Tapping as being Samantha Carter in Stargate SG-1 a science fiction series.
Amanda's hair has been fashioned into a long layered design with multiple colors of blondes, caramel and light browns. Remember what
the seventies hairstyles looked like? Oh right, you probably weren't born yet. Nevertheless, this hairstyle resembles Farah Fawcett's
famous haircut that Jose' Eber created and circled around the globe. To this day, people are still "feathering" their hair. One of
the differences is the spiral curls that are so prominent on the sides today. Cut a little bit of that off and brush it to flip
vertically back and you have shades of Farah's feathers again. The top areas are much shorter and straighter than the sides and
the ends, therefore apply a light styling lotion and blow with your hands moving the hair up and out as you go while getting all
the hair free from moisture. Use your spiral iron to wrap around each section of hair for the columns of curls desired. Comb over
the hair on the top with generous portions along the brow line. Spray a little bit of gloss when you are finished.
I have seen Amanda with short hair that has been textured into foxy layers and she looks much better. Lets face it girls, some of us;
just look better with shorter hair. Try something new once in awhile; the whole experience will give you a new outlook.
Kristen Renton - "Run Fatboy Run" Los Angeles Premiere - 03/24/2008
Kristen Renton is in Peace Arch's television series Sausage Factory as Nancy. She is also on a daytime soap series Days of our Lives
as Morgan Hollingsworth.
Wouldn't you just know it! Another young, blue eyed, natural blonde comes on center stage, that has one of the most appealing oval
faces; completely charming everyone with her effervescent smile. Kristen indeed has a natural medium ash blonde color hair that many
wannabes covet. She is keeping her blonde locks with a few different shades of lighter and darker blonde complimenting her long layered
hairstyle. There is a high side part that moves over to the edge of her face, with the sides brushed back and the rest in coiled curls
made by the spiral curling iron that lie below her shoulders.
When you decide to use the spiral curling iron, be sure to take small sections and wrap vertically for the large amount of gathered
curls pictured in the photo. If you decide you'd rather have thicker curls, increase the amount in the sections of your hair and follow
through with this progression for the fatter curls desired. In this case, fat or thin; you win.
