are a painstakingly long procedure and takes hours to put into the hair. When you decide this is what you want, be prepared to

per hour. As time passes, your hair continues to "dread" and usually can reach maturity in about three to four months. There are
special dread combs and hair wax that helps lock in this procedure. This special wax will also help prevent breakage, as there are
products that are enriched with vitamins and minerals and this is something you will want to continue to use as your hair grows
into the dreads. It is important to know these things and have these products, especially if you have high ambitions in trying to
accomplish this task for yourself, and there isn't any reason why you cannot give it a try, once you watch someone else work. Do
not use creams with petroleum as they do not have the holding power like the dread wax. Attractive colored designed beads and
jewels can be interwoven into the dreadlock style, looking similar to that of braiding. There are dread perms you can get to
have instant dreads. There are so many methods to this art, do not be afraid to ask questions and do your research before
beginning this procedure for yourself.
