Melanie Bernier maximizes her updo with a hair ornament in the form of a butterfly. This look brings a class act for our celebrity.
Colors of strawberry red are sliced throughout her hair and brighten her bangs that fall across her forehead. There is a coiled
chignon in her crown and lovely tendrils that hang along her sides, making the placement of the butterfly an inclusive completion.
If this picture is for you, begin with clean and dry hair. Section the bang and tendrils areas and save for later. Give a side part
and begin to back brush on the top, back and sides. Comb the hair over and around, up into the back, along with the sides. Secure
with your hair band. Begin to coil the sides, going around the band, as the hair moves over each other and securing as you go, with
your pins. Work from the outside towards the inside of the bun. The thicker the hair, the thicker the bun. If you have thin hair,
you can back brush a little bit more aggressively. If your texture tends to be slick, spray before you begin, to bring workability
to your otherwise slippery hair. At this time, your hair should have the top brushed over with the part in place, combined with the
sides, flowed into the back, and all up into the hair band, with all the hair wrapped around the hair band. Now take your bangs, and
smooth them out with your large curling or flat iron and comb over to the side. Use your medium sized curling iron and wrap your
tendrils on the sides toward your face. Allow to hang. Instead of using a butterfly, you could use a giant hibiscus or sunflower. Use
your imagination and begin to dress up your hair, for those special affairs and see what happens!
